Mulled wine, of Glühwein as it is known in German-speaking countries, is as big of a part of any holiday as wine on the dinner table can be. It’s traditionally brewed with spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg and fruits such as oranges. Variations to the recipe exist, but usually one would use red wine for the beverage.

It’s a perfect winter warmer for those chilly days on the skiing the slopes or just bustling about in the winter time. Just one sniff and you’re brought to a cozy places that’s ready and welcoming for the holidays.

That said, lucky us! This traditional Glühwein recipe was recently posted by the Austrian Tourism Board and we can’t wait to try it out!
